Becoming the Podcast King | The Great Podcast Series
The questions are all different, but they mean the same thing:
Fast or steady? Sprint or marathon? Rabbit or turtle?
I’ve always preferred to push it — getting to the finish line as quickly as possible. If you’re anything like I am, everything else sounds boring. Why would anyone want to move slowly toward a goal or objective?
Erik has always shared that same mindset. He’s been sprinting his entire life — until now. He now realizes that there are benefits to taking a slower, more methodical approach.
Why? Well, because he sees Great as a marathon, a 50-year project, and no one wants to age faster!
Erik’s vision for Great is to make it his life’s project. He wants to set a solid foundation, recruit incredible team members, and build an organization that will succeed for decades after he’s gone.
So, how can someone genuinely enjoy a journey that might not have a final destination? How does this long-term vision change Erik’s decision-making process now and over the coming weeks, months, years?
On today’s podcast, we explore some of the following topics.

– Transparency: The benefits and consequences of practicing radical transparency as an organization
