In this episode, we spoke with Ozzy Samad from Brother’s Brother Foundation about their model to ensure that aid works to benefit local communities and provide long-term solutions. 

‘Giving People a Leg-up, Not a Hand-out’

Brother’s Brother Foundation provides essential resources in the areas of Healthcare, Infrastructure, Disaster Response, and Education (H.I.D.E). Samad explains how they work to ensure the continuity of care and support so that the local communities they partner with can work towards serving themselves and breaking from the dependency cycle that leaves so many in hardship. Instead of simply sending medical resources to clinics, they work with them to understand the specific issues on the ground, help to generate revenue streams and free services for those in need. Their vision is a world where aid leads to sustainable development.
