In this episode we talked with Kristin Eberhard from Sightline Institute about the importance of the analysis and research that influences decision makers and creates a more vibrant Northwest.

An Equal and Fair Cascadia

Sightline Institute is a think tank focusing on the Cascadia bioregion - a diverse area comprising multiple states in Northwestern USA and British Columbia in Canada. Kristin explains that Sightline focuses on fostering a local economy that works for everyone and addresses issues of sustainability, communities and the environment.

A large part of the equation is making up for past injustices and inequalities. For example, Sightline aims to reduce air pollution in neighborhoods that have historically been more impacted than others and drive investments to more deprived communities with the aim of stimulating growth in the local job and housing markets.
