Focusing on Health, Equity, and Empowerment for the Black LGBTQ+ Community
CBE also plays a crucial role in fostering economic equity. This includes job training, financial literacy programs, and entrepreneurial support designed to help individuals achieve financial independence. By addressing economic disparities, CBE empowers individuals to build stable and prosperous lives.
Community engagement and advocacy are at the heart of the Center for Black Equity's mission. CBE hosts numerous events, including the annual DC Black Pride, which brings together thousands of people to celebrate and advocate for equality.
