Clamming Up Helps Nobody

In the past few years, the term “cancel culture” has found mainstream currency. It refers to a worrying trend that is seeing large numbers refuse to voice their opinions for fear of saying the wrong thing and being ‘cancelled’ - socially or professionally ostracized. FRAME wants to get the conversation started again. Karith explains that we can always find common ground and common values with our peers. Instead of being divisive, we should strive to be inclusive, engaging with what others say and practising active listening.

FRAME offers several programs, including Stereotyped 101, which engages college students by spreading an important message about inclusivity while avoiding a narrative of victimization and vilification.
