How would you describe KasinoKing to someone who does not know what you are doing?

– Put simply, I recommend top-class online casinos to potential new players who are looking for great places to play online. My real name is Mark, but I adopted the nick-name “Kasino King” in 2002 when I found I was pretty good at winning from casinos.

How did you end up in the casino industry?

– By accidental luck!   I had been a gambler all my adult life, with a bit of an addiction to what we in the UK call fruit machines.  In 2001 I got my first internet-linked computer and soon discovered online casinos. I also discovered the very generous casino deposit match bonuses which were plentiful in those days.  After losing for a few months, I became a “bonus hunter” – searching the internet for casinos with the best, most beatable bonuses.  I was not the best at this game, but I did make profit from it for 9 years in a row.

What made you want to start your business?

– Once again, this was by luck and not design. In my searching for new casinos and good bonuses I was surprised at how rubbish most casino listing sites were!  All I wanted to see, was how big is the bonus, what is the wagering requirement, which games counted and if the bonus was cashable or sticky.

– I thought it would be a great idea to compile all this data and share it with my fellow players to make finding good places to play much easier.

– Again by chance I had noticed that Microsoft Word documents could be saved “as a webpage”, so having ZERO knowledge about professional website building tools, I decided to create my own site simply by uploading Word documents.

– It was when I was building my first site in 2006 that I noticed Affiliate Programs linked to all the casinos, and so I thought I might as well give that a try to see if I could earn a few quid.

– The rest, as they say, is history!

– Two years after start up I was able to give up my regular job and become a full-time affiliate.

What personality traits make you skilled casino reviewer? What have been your biggest challenges?

– My biggest challenge was of my own making – literally!  I started too many website projects and it was impossible for one person working alone to maintain and keep them all up to date. Thanks to having so many “great ideas” I now have around 12 sites, and dozens of URL names which will probably never be used.

How have you changed as a person from running your websites?

– I don’t know that I have changed much as a person – not that I am aware of anyway.  But my personal life got a LOT better. Being my own boss has allowed me to work as much or as little as I want, whenever and wherever I want.  No time-tables, no deadlines, no horrible bosses!  My business has given me the lifestyle that most people can only dream of – total freedom and no debts or bills to worry about.

What are you most proud of?

– Making a successful online business with NO computer or website designing education or skills.

Where do you want to be in 5 years?

– Retired. I started my business when I was 46 years old – you do the maths!

–  My original website is still to this day just made from Word documents, which means it is not mobile compatible. So in 2017 I launched www.KasinoKingMobile.co.uk which although not WordPress quality, it is at least suitable for mobile devices.
