BetAmerica NJ Online Casino to Transition to TwinSpires Casino

According to recent reports, leading New Jersey online casino BetAmerica will soon be migrated to a new platform under the TwinSpires brand.

Though no official dates have yet been announced for the move, it is expected to take place some time “in the first half of 2021”, according to the TwinSpires website.

Both BetAmerica and TwinSpires are owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated, which is famous for its popular horse racing event, the Kentucky Derby, with the move serving as an effort to unify the brands.

“Pursuing a single brand strategy allows us to maintain focus on integrating our horse racing wagering platform alongside our sports betting and iGaming business,” said Churchill Downs’ President of Online Gaming, “which will provide our players with the ultimate online and mobile betting experience.”

BetAmerica members residing in Michigan were the first to migrate to the TwinSpires platform in January. Players in Pennsylvania and Indiana were notified via email in early April that they too would soon be migrated to the new platform, with the move completed at the end of the month.

New Jersey players are expected to be next in line for migration, with BetAmerica members in Mississippi and Colorado also due to follow suit.

Early signs of the transition

At present, members of BetAmerica NJ can still access the site to bet on sports and play casino games — “Existing BetAmerica online players can continue to utilize the BetAmerica platform as normal before a seamless migration to TwinSpires in the first half of 2021,” according to the TwinSpires website.

Observant players may have already noticed that something was up by the fact that the usually updated Slot of the Week promo, which offers a bonus prize draw for players of the specified game on a weekly basis, has been stagnant since early April.

What to expect

So what will the migration be like for New Jersey members of BetAmerica? While the brand has been tight-lipped regarding the specifics, we can draw upon the experience of Pennsylvania members of the site regarding the migration process.
