Resorts Closes Its Online Sportsbook
As of Feb. 14, Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City has shuttered its online sportsbook, previously found on ResortsCasino.com. The website’s interactive slots and table games, as well as live dealer tables, will continue to operate. Sports bettors can still visit the casino property itself to place bets:
The Resorts-branded online casino says its sportsbook will remain accessible until March 1, 2022, for players to view their open bets and account status. The iGaming site says all outstanding bets will be honored and settled once the sporting event has been completed. Any remaining balances will be returned to the patron by way of their preferred withdrawal method.
Preliminary Super Bowl Wagering Totals Are In
On Feb. 15, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released their preliminary wagering data for Super Bowl LVI. These numbers include the state’s 12 retail sportsbooks and 24 sports wagering apps:
Preliminary wagering statistics reported by Atlantic City Casinos and New Jersey equine racetracks show that wagering on this year’s Super Bowl totaled approximately $143.7 million, with a projected total sports wagering payout of $135.9 million. This resulted in a win of $7.8 million for the sports wagering books.
Wagering on last year’s Super Bowl totaled approximately $117.4 million with a total sports wagering payout of approximately $106.1 million, resulting in a win of $11.3 million for the sports wagering books.
Comedian Kevin Hart To Perform Two Shows in AC in July
Kevin Hart is joining the summer lineup at Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, with two shows on July 8 and 9. Other summer performances at Etess Arena will include John Mulaney, Andrea Bocelli, New Kids on the Block, Salt-n-Pepa, Alicia Keys, and Rod Stewart. Meanwhile, Hart’s tour is beginning in July and will take him through more than 30 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. His Atlantic City dates are the tour’s first East Coast shows:
One of Hollywood’s most recognized actors and comedians, Hart’s most recent comedy tour, the “Irresponsible Tour,” sold out more than 100 arenas worldwide and sold over one million tickets worldwide in 2018.
Hart broke records when one of his shows sold out Lincoln Financial Field in his hometown of Philadelphia during his “What Now Tour,” making the 42-year-old the first comedian to sell out the home of the Philadelphia Eagles.
CRDA Exec To Step Down
Deputy Executive Director Rosa Farias of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has shared her plans to step down. Farias plans to return to the state Senate and serve as a senior adviser to Senate leadership. She asked the CRDA board to continue investing in community organizations, such as the Feed AC initiative, the Boys & Girls Club, and other projects aimed at helping Atlantic City citizens during her time with the city:
“Her contributions to Atlantic City have been profound,” [CRDA Executive Director Monica] de los Ríos said. Board President Modia Butler also praised Farias’ work, saying they previously worked together in Newark.

Members praised Farias’ work in Atlantic City, citing her efforts to improve the quality of life in the city.
“I know her as a consummate professional and a person who cares deeply about the folks in marginalized communities,” Butler said. He said she improved the grant-making process, and that her impact cannot be understated.
