Fastest rising measures growth, not size. It is the game whose demo play climbed most from one month to the next, regardless of how large its audience already was.

We only count games that already had real play in July. Without that floor, a game going from five sessions to fifty would top the list every month and the ranking would mean nothing.

Why we publish it

A ranking of the most played games changes slowly. The same titles hold the top places month after month, which tells you what is established but very little about what is happening now.

Growth moves faster. A game can climb this list weeks after release, or years later when it finds a new audience, long before that shows up in total volume. For anyone tracking what players are turning to, it is the more useful of the two rankings.

How we count this

Great.com lists free-to-play demo versions of slots. Players arrive through organic search, open a game and play. Nothing on the site is promoted above anything else, so a game climbs because people chose it.

A session is one visit to a game page where the demo was played. Rankings cover August 2026, with July 2026 used as the comparison month.
