Are You an “Agent of Change”?

How would it feel to be locked into a glascage for 1 week in the middle of an open square where everybody could look right at you as they passed along?

Every year in December, the Swedish Radio Aid hosts a Music Aid collection where 3 famous people get locked into this cage to help collect money for humanitarian purposes. 

The Swedish Radio Aid has been hosting collections like this since 1939 and thanks to their contribution millions of swedish krones has been donated to important cause areas around the globe. 

In today’s Great.com Talks With...Spirit speak with the General Secretary, Kristina Henschen of the Swedish Radio Aid or in swedish Radiohjälpen. 

Kristina explains that they do different campaigns through out the year. Only the Christmas Music Aid campaign of 2019 alone managed to collect 50 million krones which is equal to around 5 million dollars. 

And for every season of the year they do 1 big campaign similar to this christmas campaign. 

The Swedish Eurovision campaign occur during spring. 

The Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden campaign during summer. 

The World Children campaign during autumn.

The Music Aid campaign during winter. 

Kristina highlights that apart from the money donations, every year they do different themes on the campaign to increase the awareness of an important humanitarian topic. 

Towards the end of the interview Spirit often asks his guest if there is anything extra important that this guest would like for more people to understand to make the world better. 

Kristina wishes that more people would recognize their own personal power. That every human can be an Agent of Change if we just recognize our personal power.
