Unfortunately, the city of El Paso offers little to no assistance in clearing the streets of stray animals. That's why in today's episode, we talked with Lupe Diaz and Kim Lambert, Animal Care Supervisors from the Humane Society of El Paso.
They are a non-profit organization and a no-kill shelter that finds homes for animals. Among other things, they offer a wide range of services to the animal community of the El Paso area. The services include taking pets from owners who can no longer care for them, pet cremation, and humane euthanasia, and they also offer a wide range of services to the people of El Paso.
Fighting For A Humane World for the Animals of El Paso
The Humane Society of El Paso animal services provides education in the form of community resources and frequently asked questions for pet owners who lack the education to care for their pets. But their most important service is foster care. They take in abandoned and stray animals and put them up for adoption.
Their goal is to help every animal find a new best friend. They also feed, clean, pick up poop, and look after the sheltered animals. Thanks to volunteer work and donations from the El Paso community, the organization can offer these services to everyone in El Paso.
