Investment Casting: Sustainable & Cost-efficient

While the process of investment casting is  highly sustainable and cost-efficient, it is not new technology- across the ages, the process has been the same for the most part. Ancient China used it for ornaments and rudimentary machines, as did ancient Egypt when building busts or statues of their gods. It’s a process that involves pouring metal into a cast that is created from wax. This makes it a highly cost-efficient way to shape metal. The only change in modern times is that this process has been industrialized for the needs of different industries. Fritz explains that it is a lucrative industry always looking for new practitioners. They have scholarships and offer pathways for high school graduates to find a meaningful career in investment casting or being foundrymen.
