How would you describe AboutSlots to someone who does not know what you are doing?

– We at Joelsson Media Group run an affiliation network company, which is focused on the iGaming industry. We use the streaming sites Twitch and Youtube in combination with our informative website AboutSlots.com. We go under the alias CasinoDaddy on the streaming platforms and through these different channels, we can provide our audience with as personal and informative experience as possible in the world of slots. It is important for us to have successful long-term business partnerships with gaming suppliers in order to provide traffic of the highest quality possible. This is to be able to communicate and participate with our community and give them the best possible experience since it is with them that all of this becomes possible.

How did you end up in the casino industry?

– We have always had a penchant for sports, both online sports and physical sports. What drew us more and more to the casino industry was that here you will find a bit of everything. It is an industry that is developing at a very fast pace and the standard has increased enormously lately, from its game design, the mathematical models, the music to name a few. Yes, there are really many ingredients involved in the creation of exciting and captivating slots, and the game developers often have to show enormous creativity and professionalism to create the best gaming experience possible. These are some of the things that make this industry very fascinating, and the fact that there are big wins to scoop up during the course of the game is certainly a nice touch to all this.

What made you want to start AboutSlots?

– We were 3 brothers who wanted to start something together, where we could combine our knowledge and interest in the casino industry, which resulted in the start of Joelsson Media Group. Running something of our own had for a long time inspired us, where we obviously get a lot of responsibility and usually work more hours than the average working day but working with something we love gives a feeling similar to doing your hobby. This is fantastic and we who are extremely interested in the casino industry wanted to share the knowledge we possess with the public. By doing this in a down-to-earth way and having as much fun as possible during the journey is of utmost importance to us. It is probably what permeates our entire business, and the transparency and sense of authenticity is what lays the foundation for the business. Starting a business with your siblings and then seeing it grow in employees and also in the number of people in our community is a cool feeling that makes everything feel like the family has become gigantic over the years.

What personality traits make you a skilled CEO? What have been your biggest challenges?

– Although it is important to have fun at work, we also see a great responsibility in maintaining a high level of professionalism and standard in the work we perform. Providing people with essential information regarding slots and doing so in such an entertaining way is something we find incredibly exciting to do. We have always had an interest in presentation and when it comes to the internet. it is phenomenal that there are so many different ways to do this. We believe that our holistic approach when it comes to creation is an essential part of the result to be good. Everything from video, design, content, experience, collaborations, and more should be good, where we do not want to leave anything to chance, except the actual slot game of course.

– Starting something like this is of course incredibly fun but it also requires a lot of hard work. What has been a great challenge for us is to get a good structure on the business. As everything has grown very fast in recent years, it is important to keep up with this, and there are many components in the company that must go in harmony with each other. Since it is an industry that never rests, it requires continuous planning and structuring for everything to work as you want. So, maintaining a developing and stable structure is a major challenge. But at the same time, it is the great charm of this industry, that no days are the same and that you can always learn new things.

How have you changed as a person from running AboutSlots?

– The fact that things are constantly changing leads to constant development as a person and you have a great responsibility when you run a company. Since our community grows continuously, it means that there will be more people to whom you convey your videos and informative texts, so the responsibility will be greater as well. Since all of this becomes possible with our community, it is important for us to listen to them and be as transparent as possible. We learn from what they inform us and take it with us to future creations of material. The leadership role is exciting and with each passing day, you realize more and more the great importance of your responsibility in taking care of the community in the best possible way.

What are you most proud of?

– To have from the beginning only consisted of us 3 brothers, to then be as big as we are today when it comes to the number of employees and people in our community is an incredibly powerful feeling. We have succeeded in creating something that many can learn from and be maintained through, and that is an incredibly great driving force for us to continue with what we do. We are eternally grateful to be able to work with what we love to do and that everyone who takes part in our material feels the same way.

Where do you want to be in 5 years?

– Five years feels far away, but we know that time flies and the development in the digital world is moving even faster. So, the thing that will be exciting to see is how we will convey our information at that time. Spreading our message through videos and texts is something we want to continue to do and to do them as effectively as possible. An exciting chapter to add to our saga would have been to participate in the creation of a new slot, where we get to add our own ideas and knowledge to create something completely unique.
