August Activities in Atlantic City
With things returning to something more resembling normality again, Atlantic City’s finest casinos have lined up a variety of all-star events to get us along the Boardwalk and into arenas again this August.
Check out the featured acts hitting the stages of Resorts, Borgata, Tropicana, Ocean, and Hard Rock, offering comedy, magic, peace and love, and music galore!

August 6: “Rise Up for the Arts” featuring The Texas Tenors
In an effort to reinvigorate the industry after a tumultuous year, the Schultz-Hill Foundation has set up a concert featuring The Texas Tenors as a first step towards bringing the arts back to Atlantic City.
The performances are due to take place on Friday, August 6 at 8.30pm in the Superstar Theater at Resorts Casino Hotel.
Ticket prices start at just $35, with preferred seating available for $55 and VIP tickets on offer via the Schultz-Hill website.
August 6: Craig Robinson and The Nasty Delicious
If you’d prefer something a little more light-hearted and comedic for that evening, head on over to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa for the hilarious musical antics of Craig Robinson, aka Darryl from the hit TV series The Office, along with his band.
The show starts at 9pm on Friday, August 6, with tickets starting at $35.
Fridays and Sundays: Summer of Love
If you missed the social phenomenon back in 1967, this month is your chance to experience it in full hippie style!
Glen Burtnik’s Summer of Love Concert takes us on a trip back in time to relive the peace and love mantras emanating from such acts as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin.
The shows kick off at 4pm on Fridays and 9pm on Sundays at the Ocean Resort Casino‘s Ovation Hall, with tickets starting at $29.
August 9-12: DJX’21
DJ Times’ long-running trade show, DJ Expo, is not only changing its name to the bold and modern DJX’21, it’s also changing venues to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in what looks set to be a long-term relationship.
The show, which runs this year from August 9-12, will be the 32nd of its kind, with features including seminars with all the latest tech, sponsored events, networking opportunities, and the popular afterparties.
This year sees the expo offering additional attractions to bring it in line with the changing DJ scene, including new floor plans, product drops, and collaborations, making it a must-see for all music creation lovers.
Exhibits run from 12pm to 6pm on August 10 and 11, and 11am to 3pm on August 12, with ticket prices ranging from free to $385.
August 13-14: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons
Mark this particular weekend on your calendar as Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons will be banging out the familiar high-pitched tunes of Walk Like A Man, Oh What A Night, and Big Girls Don’t Cry at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino!
Tickets for this unmissable event start at $49, with the show kicking off at 8pm on Friday, August 13 and Saturday, August 14 at the Etess Arena.
August 14: Pink Talking Fish
Merging the hits of the past into one enthralling musical experience, Pink Talking Fish is a vibrant amalgamation of elements from Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish, offering something unique and inspiring for music fans.
Grab a ticket from just $24 and discover this hybrid fusion band for yourself at the Tropicana Casino and Resort from 11.59pm on Saturday, August 14.
August 19: Rod Stewart
One of the best-selling music artists of all time, British legend Rod Stewart needs no introduction! Prepare yourself for an unforgettable night as the rock singer and songwriter performs timeless classics such as Maggie May, Tonight’s The Night, and Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?.
These tickets, which start at $185, are bound to go quickly so grab them while you can! The show starts at 8pm on Friday, August 19 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Etess Arena.
August 20: Jon Dorenbos
If you want a break from the top-tier musical performances this month, check out modern magician Jon Dorenbos, who finished in 3rd place in America’s Got Talent 11 and also featured on Ellen.
The stage-based magic begins at 7.30pm and 10.30pm on Friday, August 20 at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, with tickets starting at $63.
August 20: Journey
Get ready to rock to the epic tunes of worldwide legends Journey as they hit the stage at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino this month!
With over 80 million record sales under their belt thanks to global hit songs like Don’t Stop Believin’ and Any Way You Want It, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will be performing live at 8pm on Friday, August 20, with tickets price starting at $99.
August 21: Kiss
Rounding off an incredible month of music at the Jersey shores, another Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend hits the stage of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Etess Arena!
KISS‘s End of The Road World Tour is dedicated to the millions of KISS Army fans who helped the band achieve more than 100 million sales worldwide of hit songs including I Was Made For Lovin’ You and God Gave Rock ‘N’ Roll To You.
These tickets, priced from $350, are selling fast, so grab them while you can for the 8pm show on Saturday, August 21.
