About one in eight women in the USA will develop invasive breast cancer at some point in their life. In this episode we talked with Ginny Ehlrich CEO at Bright Pink, about encouraging women to be proactive about their health and nip cancer risk in the bud.

You Don’t Need to Wait for a Mammogram

Bright Pink saves lives from breast and ovarian cancer by educating women about health risks and supporting anyone who opts for early interventions, such as a mastectomy. Prophylactic decisions can be life-changing, and it’s important that women have access to the help and resources they need to feel comfortable embarking on a health journey.

Ginny explains that many women do not know there are many options beyond the mammogram. She encourages us to investigate genetic testing to see whether we might be carrying a mutation that puts us at a higher risk. The earlier we become aware the better. Bright Pink targets women aged between 18 and 40.
