Environmental Law Institute Is Advocating For Laws That Promote Sustainable Development

To be most effective in our global effort to save the planet, we must empower every country to build its own legal framework. In this episode we talked with Jay Pendergrass from the Environmental Law Institute about making national laws that promote sustainable development and a cleaner planet.

Legal Advice and Educational Outreach

Environmental law doesn’t just cover headline-grabbing international treaties like the Paris Agreement; it also governs regional issues like urban pollution and water quality. Jay explains that ELI’s focus is to make laws work for people, places and the planet. The organization helps governments in developing countries draft environmental laws and educate local communities about their legal rights.
