More specifically, people with these disabilities, physical and mental, are often overlooked or lack opportunities to attend job interviews. Regardless of their background, we must assist and be of use to those who’ve given so much for us.

There are many reasons why people face employment barriers. Some include personal, military, mental health, or a myriad of others. Regardless, these people need our help to get their lives back on track. That's why in today's episode, we talked with Nicole Suydam, President, and CEO at Goodwill of Orange County.
Goodwill Orange County is a nonprofit organization and a leader in the health and human services sector. They have the highest level of accreditation from CARF and make it their mission to empower, serve, and change more lives than ever.
Believing in the Power of Working Together
Goodwill of Orange County helps change lives in several ways. They achieve this through a series of programs, put into three categories. Those are disabilities services, workforce development, and veteran services. The dozens of programs in these categories help change lives for people of all backgrounds.
Their goal is to provide purpose, pride, and dignity to those who face barriers when finding jobs and keeping them. Goodwill also has a thrift store where you can come in and shop or donate to keep the store running. Goodwill donates 93 cents of every dollar to power its life-changing programs and services.
