In Montana, thousands lack the most basic needs to survive, including food and a clean, safe place to sleep. Many people in the area struggle to find adequate food and shelter, which can lead to a host of other issues, such as addiction, mental health problems, and chronic health conditions. That's why in today's episode, we talked with Jim McCormick, Executive Director at Great Falls Rescue Mission.
Great Falls Rescue Mission is a non-profit Christian organization committed to serving North-Central Montana. They abide by the Bible's teachings, and their beliefs are based on Biblical values. Through these values, the organization runs shelter, meal, and care programs that help solve the homeless and housing crisis in the Treasure State.
Meeting the Most Basic Needs of Hurting and Homeless Men, Women, and Children
The organization recognizes that these issues have no gender or age preference. Men, women, and children face untold uncertainties leading to further issues and complications. They have three shelters across Great Falls, each catering to men's, women's, and children's issues.
The organization aims to become a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable Montanans and has been doing it since 1963. The organization provides emergency services such as meals, shelter, medical assistance, and recovery services for women, men, and parents/guardians.
