How do you teach students sustainability?

A compass is a tool that helps you navigate. What if that tool was not an object but instead an integrated awareness inside of you? That is how we see the Earth Charter, a global ethical framework recognized and used by organizations and individuals in all regions of the world, including UNESCO. (UNESCO’s Resolution) 

The Earth Charter is a map articulating 16 principles that allows teachers around the world to help learners develop their vision and find inner compass of sustainability and global citizenship. 

The Earth Charter is also a huge global movement expanding to over 6000 organizations. And in today’s episode, Great.com Talks With… Mirian Vilela who works as the Executive Director at Earth Charter International.

Mirian explains how their work is sensitizing, engaging and empowering young leaders and educators to contribute with the much-needed social transformation for the betterment of our societies.
