Many in the United States deem the current electoral college system flawed. The US presidential elections work based on a system called the electoral college. The electoral college system collects electoral votes nationwide. Each state receives a specific number of electoral votes. The presidential candidate who wins the most electoral votes becomes the President. But electoral votes don’t work on a one-vote-one-point system. Instead, a state can have a significantly lower number of voters and carry a similar weight to a state with a much higher number of voters.
