Marcia says that it is the foundation's goal to save the lives of homeless animals and address their medical and behavioral needs. They want to make sure that every animal has a home to go to. Through networking and organizing adoption events, the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation gives lost and abandoned animals a second chance at life.
Medical Care for Animals
The foundation also helps pet owners going through difficult financial hardships by providing vouchers up to $500. Pet owners can use these vouchers to pay for veterinarian costs. The foundation also covers the costs for more serious injuries by providing pets and animals with special medical care. The foundation covers surgery costs up to $2,500.
The Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation operates throughout Los Angeles County and its 45 incorporated cities. They provide care for more than 45,000 animals each year. They have seven animal centers throughout Los Angeles County.
