POAC Autism Services Work For Everyone
Parents of Autistic Children Autism Services is an organization that champions autistic people in New Jersey. They train teachers to better engage with autistic students; they work with parents and caregivers directly to help them communicate with their children and mitigate problem behaviors; they protect and advise on dealing with the safety and rights of autistic children.
One important POAC offering is its packed recreational events schedule. Gary explains the activities include whole families to help children with autism make friends, learn and have fun organically in a supportive environment.
The Safety Of Autistic Children Is Paramount
POAC is also renowned for the training they offer first responders in crucial, life-saving practices like behavioral de-escalation. Our flagship program, called Autism Shield, is especially important when 15 percent of autistc children never speak and only 25 percent are able to live independently.
