Nexus RTP – Be aware of this!

Most players don’t actually realize that the winning odds can move significantly depending on which slot you’re playing.

As far as Nexus goes, the slot sits comfortably in the middle in terms of your chances of winning. If your priority is getting the highest odds there are plenty of slots out there with better player odds that said Nexus still gives players a roughly average winning rate.

The number that measures these odds goes by the name Return To Player, shortened to RTP. This shows you how much of your betting amount the game typically returns throughout extended play. For Nexus, the slot’s RTP is 95.2%, which puts it squarely in the medium range.

Here’s a simple scale to work with to explain RTP ranges clearly. Under 94% means the RTP is low. RTP values in this range are labeled medium. Above 96.50% means a high RTP rating.

On the surface the spread between these values don’t seem like much. But they matter more than you think when you look at long-term play when larger amounts of money are involved.

The overlooked stat behind RTP is what’s known as the House Edge, which is the part that stays with the casino. It’s calculated by subtracting the RTP percentage from the total 100%. So for Nexus, the House Edge is 100% minus the 95.2% return 4.8% On average, this means the house ultimately keeps 4.8% of the total bets made on games played on Nexus.

Think about that compared to a strong-RTP title such as Wanted Dead or a Wild, which is posted at 96.50% RTP. The game’s House Edge is only 3.50 percent. When you put them right next to each other 4.8% compared to 3.50% the difference becomes far more obvious. After many, many spins that spread starts to add up.

While Nexus isn’t offering the very best odds available it’s still close to an average level of return. So if you're a fan of its mix of features or gameplay of Nexus, its RTP shouldn’t be a reason to avoid it.

What Difference Does RTP Make?

To make these numbers easier to understand let’s see how many spins your money actually buys for your money based on the version of the game you choose.

If you were to deposit $100 and play at a rate of $1 per spin. In a game like Wanted Dead or a Wild because of its higher return rate you can expect to get around 2,857 spins before your money runs out. You arrive at that number by dividing the $100 deposit by the 3.50% edge resulting in $100 / 3.50% = 2,857 spins.

Because most slot spins take around three seconds that spin count would give you nearly 2.5 hours of active play before your funds are depleted.

Next, let’s compare that situation to a lower-return slot like Nexus. Since the house edge sits at 4.8%, your $100 balance would stretch to just roughly 2083 spins before your money disappears. which works out to about approximately (2083*3)/3600 hours of playtime.

The takeaway is your balance disappears at a rate more than 50% faster in the lower RTP slot. And because you get fewer spins you’re reducing your odds of scoring those big payouts in half before you even start.

How important is the RTP of Nexus? If your goal is to improve your long-term chances of winning online, then RTP becomes a key part of the equation as higher RTP slots generally give you better returns in the long run. But if enjoyment is your main priority and you don’t mind if you lose over time, then how much fun you have matters more than the RTP.

In the long run, it’s up to you to decide how much weight RTP should have in your decision. It largely comes down to your own play habits and the level of risk you’re willing to take. Some gamblers look for the highest RTP available and view slots as a path to making money while others are just looking to have fun — even if they’re more likely to lose on a slot.

If you want more time on your bankroll and get the best chances of winning, we recommend checking out one of the higher RTP slots from our slot toplist. But if Nexus is keeping you entertained and entertainment is your top priority, then it’s perfectly fine to choose based on fun alone.

Stake - Nexus

Stake is a top choice to play Nexus especially worthwhile if you lean toward crypto-friendly casinos. As the industry’s most established crypto casino Stake has been pushing the industry forward for many years now and quite clearly because players trust them.

The thing that makes Stake stand out is primarily the amount they return to players from a player’s point of view. They include a broad range of games featuring strong RTP and that means you generally enjoy better odds here compared to casinos that offer the same game. Beyond that Stake offers frequent raffles, promotions, and leaderboard challenges giving players more ways to earn rewards.

Stake is also one of the most transparent casinos in the crypto casino scene overall. While many competing operators stay anonymous co-founders Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani make their identities public and available to the public eye. Ed regularly streams live on Kick interacting with players and answers player questions instantly which is something not seen often in online gambling. Such visibility and trust is a major reason why players consistently choose Stake for slot games such as Nexus.

Roobet - Nexus

Roobet Casino is also a great choice for trying out Nexus and like Stake Roobet consistently offers the top RTP versions in many of its offered games making it a top option for value-focused players.

In recent years Roobet has developed into a fast-expanding crypto casino steadily closing the gap with Stake especially in terms of streaming popularity in a noticeable way. Several leading casino streamers like AyeZee and Xposed commonly stream their sessions on Roobet and have brought huge communities of players along with them helping Roobet grow further.

If you like casino streams or want to play where top streamers gather Roobet is absolutely one of the best places to be when that’s your interest.

Gamdom - Nexus

Gamdom Casino is widely viewed as a great choice for diving into Nexus frequently providing higher RTP versions across the slots we’ve reviewed. This fact makes it a great choice if you care for higher odds as you play.

As they’ve expanded into traditional casino games they’ve maintained their gaming culture origins by offering betting on major video games such as Counter-Strike, League of Legends, Dota 2, eTennis, and other titles.

If you’re into e-sports and want a casino that blends classic casino action with gaming world betting Gamdom is absolutely a strong place to play Nexus while taking in the broader gaming world.

How Do You Win at Nexus?

Up to now you’ve already learned quite a bit about Nexus and with any luck you’ve checked out the free demo version. But there’s one key question left namely how you’re supposed to win at a game like Nexus?

We’ve already gone over the fact that that RTP matters more than anything else when considering your chances of winning across pretty much any casino game. When it comes to Nexus you only get a single RTP version so that means there’s very little you can affect to change your chances while you’re in the game.

What you can do, though is leverage a worthwhile casino bonus to offer you a bit of extra help. But bonuses aren’t always the same making checking the fine print is extremely important.

The first detail to examine when looking at a casino bonus is the wagering terms. A smaller wagering requirement is definitely better. Preferably you want to find something below 30x wagering. If the terms demand over 30x you’re probably better off avoid it completely.

Stay alert for bonuses that force you to wager both deposit and bonus this is a red flag because it doubles the wagering requirement making it far harder to cash out. A reasonable bonus typically states terms such as Wager the bonus 30x.

Stay alert when dealing with bonuses marketed as "no wagering" since they can be misleading. Even though they sound great on paper many such bonuses block bonus funds from being withdrawn altogether.

They might still be better than having no bonus although their practical value is often much less than it appears.

Most of the time casino bonuses usually sound better than what they deliver. And the bigger the offer looks the more carefully you should examine the conditions.

When all is said and done even when you have a strong bonus your odds of losing are much greater than your odds of winning. Bonuses can give you extra time to play still they don’t change the house edge.

Nexus Max Win

The top payout available in Nexus is capped at 10,000x. Put simply if you do a $1 spin the highest win the slot can pay out maxes out at $10,000.

10,000x is regarded as a high-end max win and it’s better than what most slots provide but it doesn’t rank among the very highest wins.

If hitting huge max wins is something you value you could check out 60 Second Heist which offers a 60,000x max win, or Fireworks Megaways with an even bigger max win of 150,335x.

Nexus Great.com Verdict - What’s Bad About this Slot?

We’ve talked about many aspects that are important when trying Nexus but at the same time we haven’t covered much about the downside of it.

Here’s Great.com’s final take on Nexus:

• We don’t like that the developers didn’t include a bonus purchase feature in the slot. This has become a hugely popular feature which means a game that’s missing it loses a bit of its appeal instantly.

• The top win in this slot sits at 10,000 in total. This is reasonably strong but at the same time many other games exist that feature higher top payouts. The higher the win potential the greater the excitement the game can bring.

• We strongly dislike slots that have low RTP as a result this game’s RTP is just 95.2% overall. This is weaker than most new game RTPs and this leads to Nexus gives back less value compared to higher RTP games. The game’s win probability is a crucial part of a slot which means we want it to be as high as possible.

Aside from all we’ve discussed you should keep in mind that playing a slot is similar to watching a movie — some will enjoy it and others won’t. Your opinion of Nexus is mostly shaped by your individual taste. Although we emphasize the objective details the best way to know if this game is for you is to play the free Nexus demo shown at the top of this page and make up your own mind.
